Job Summary
Working in a team led by Emma Kerrigan, Head of Acquisitions (Yorkshire & Humber), the Acquisitions Manager will play a critical role in identifying land opportunities in the Yorkshire and Humber region and support the team to negotiate and transact on land deals. You will be joining our talented and experienced team who are committed to supporting the Agency’s wider mission acting as Government’s housing accelerator
The role will support the design and delivery of a wide range of key strategic projects. There are some exciting and ambitious projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst working with multi-functional teams to progress innovative placemaking projects.

Person specification
Whilst our day job is to identify and secure land opportunities, you will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.
You'll be comfortable supporting the team with complex land issues, aiming to resolve challenges in a commercial and expedient fashion. You will be proficient in identifying and negotiating great land deals for the public purse.
Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an Acquisitions team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.
As an experienced land and development professional you’ll understand how to work with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
