Job Description

Job Purpose: The Bell Attendant is responsible for greeting guests, assisting with transportation, providing local information, and handling luggage in a courteous and professional manner.


Duties & Functions:



  • Greet guests and manage luggage retrieval

  • Escort guests to rooms, explain amenities, promote hotel outlets

  • Deliver and retrieve luggage, messages, packages, and fulfill guest requests

  • Ensure safe storage of luggage and maintain cleanliness of storage areas

  • Provide knowledgeable information about the hotel and local area

  • Drive safely, keep incident records, and ensure guest safety during travel

  • Offer friendly, attentive service and perform additional duties as assigned


Additional Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with team and guests

  • Remain calm during emergencies and busy periods

  • Make informed decisions and adapt procedures as needed


Operational Compliance
  • Adhere to health, safety, hygiene, maintenance, emergency, and licensing policies

Supportive Functions

  • Attend meetings, participate in community events, and use departmental systems

  • Maintain a clean work environment and handle confidential documents securely

  • Perform other duties as assigned and demonstrate leadership qualities


Other Duties

Support company culture, ensure attendance, and adapt to varying schedules due to industry cycles.


Safety Requirements

Use PPE as required, report issues, and lift heavy packages safely.


Grooming/Uniforms

Maintain a neat appearance; specific uniform guidelines will be provided during orientation.


Additional

Knowledge of additional languages is preferred.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1-2 years in a customer-facing role, preferably in upscale hotels

  • Friendly, detail-oriented, and able to multitask

  • Strong communication skills in English

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, standing or walking for long periods
