ZED, an RSK Group company, are recruiting for an Associate Building Physics and Sustainability Consultant to join the Leeds team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing successfully with Clients and other professionals to foster and maintain good relationships and promote new and repeat business
- Support the promotion of ZED within the marketplace to identify opportunities, develop enquiries and win new work
- Preparation of fees, submission and bid documents for potential new projects
- Understand and deal with the commercial aspects of contracts and client interaction, to make sure work undertaken matches the scope and fee and when appropriate, claiming additional fees
- Leading thermal modelling, net zero carbon and energy strategy work across multiple projects
- Project cost management to successfully deliver them with the target profit margin
- Resource management of the team
- Building physics and parametric modelling
- Building performance and operational energy optimisation
- Certification and compliance (Building Regulations Part L, EPC, BREEAM, etc)
- Net zero and whole life carbon modelling RSK Job Description HRF01 Issue 1
- Sustainability design and ESG modelling
- Site surveys and existing building assessments
- Undertaking studies relating to BREEAM Credits including thermal comfort, low and zero carbon technologies, reduction of emissions, predicted operational energy and daylighting
- Preparing Energy & Sustainability Statements for developments to complement planning submissions. This will include coordination and managing energy / sustainability contributions from many different design team stakeholders
- Able to develop effective relationships with well-developed interpersonal skills
- Actively leads self, and others, and promotes efficient ways of working
- Helps ensure quality standards and technical accuracy is delivered
- Effectively reports and openly communicates at all levels internally and externally
- Assisting and training fellow Engineers, Graduates and new starters
- Degree qualified
- CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant
- NDEA Level 3, 4, & 5
- OCNDEA
- Over time you will be supported and encouraged to work towards chartership
