Asda Primary Logistics
Asda Primary Logistics is a commercial and service function that is part of Asda Logistics Services. Primary operations plan, execute and manage over 3000 loads of suppler stock into our Asda Depots per week. We carry 70% of fresh and 40% of ambient food stock into our sites for onward delivery to our stores
Our aim is to be the default option for all Asda suppliers by offering first class service and lowest cost whilst generating revenue for ALS.
The operations team are based in Rochdale and have a dedicated office with first class facilities. We believe in an open culture where respect and engagement are embedded into our ways of working
“Find your role”
- Deliver projects or workstreams within wider change initiatives, with support from senior colleagues to help guide direction and impact.
- Review existing operations and implement innovative processes that drive improvements, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
- Plan and lead stakeholder engagement activities to build strong working relationships and ensure stakeholder needs are understood and met.
- Execute clear and timely communication plans to ensure changes are well received and effectively embedded across the business.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints, escalating where appropriate to maintain momentum.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with supply teams, stores, and external partners to shape customer-focused and cost-efficient operating models.
- Partner with depots to embed standardised ways of working, ensuring adherence to SOPs and enabling swift, consistent change.
- Ensure SOPs are regularly updated, communicated, and implemented to a high standard.
- Act as a point of support for Warehouse and Transport leads, helping to investigate and resolve operational issues promptly
