Currently embarking on a journey to simplify and redefine the data and technology landscape. And we need to deliver a Data & Analytics platform which allows us to deploy data products and advanced analytical (including Machine Learning) capabilities to the benefit of all our customers. You will work directly with our Engineering Lead/Product owner and the Enterprise and Solution architecture communities to shape and define the Target Solution Architecture for the Analytics Lab within the Prudential and Analytics Platform. Once agreed, our Solution Architects continuously invest in maintaining the Architecture runway underpinning our Platform teams


You will act as technology enthusiast, bringing to bear your experience and your enthusiasm to help build the modern data-led organisation.

What you'll need

  • Story-telling skills to describe our Data Architecture and get agreement to achieve it.

  • Relationship and stakeholders skills to energise our product and engineering communities.

  • Practical experience required to define the data patterns, standards and practices we will use to guide our organisation.

  • Knowledge to be able to talk to and understand our customers, reaching solutions that meet their needs.

And any experience of these would be really useful

  • Practical experience of designing and building cloud-based data platforms at scale. You will know and understand the benefits and trade-offs of the various approaches to building data platforms.

  • Understanding of data engineering landscape and with this, a working knowledge of data pipelines and data mesh principles. You may have come from an engineering background in this space; although this is not essential .

  • Working in Financial Services on Regulatory Risk deliveries.
