Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Leeds, with a primary focus on Stage 4 Detailed Design for contractor-led projects. This role involves working on a range of exciting and technically challenging developments across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver Stage 4 Mechanical Design packages in line with project specifications and timelines
• Collaborate closely with contractors, architects, and other design team members
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and client requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers where needed

Sectors Covered:

Education – Schools and Colleges

Commercial – Office developments and fit-outs

Residential – Multi-unit apartment blocks (typically 50 to 500 units)

Blue Light – Police stations and related facilities

Industrial – Distribution centres, warehousing, and logistics

Requirements:

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Proven experience delivering detailed mechanical designs at Stage 4
• Strong understanding of building services and sector-specific requirements
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IES)
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
