We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Safety Team on a full-time basis, although we welcome applicants interested in working 2 or 3 days a week as part of a job share.
If you enjoy a hands-on operational approach to keeping people safe, then this could be the role for you.
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge, and experience in Health and Safety.
Based at White Rose Park, with travel across Leeds and potentially further areas where staff are based, a full driving license and access to a car are essential.
You will be able to work autonomously and should possess good organisation and communication skills (verbal, written, and presenting).
You should have experience manipulating data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, as well as software for recording and tracking inspection and audit findings, is required.
You must possess a NEBOSH general certificate.
Main duties of the job
The role includes:
- Monitoring and responding to queries and requests for assistance.
- Undertaking and recording premise inspections; raising, assigning, and tracking actions on our software.
- Identifying potential hazards and risks within various working environments.
- Assisting with and documenting risk assessments.
- Undertaking first aid needs analysis.
- Conducting Display Screen Equipment assessments and making recommendations for further action.
- Assisting in accident and incident investigations and compliance audits.
- Manipulating data to identify trends and aid analysis.
- Delivering presentations and representing the Safety Team at the Welcome event.
