Higher Level Teaching Assistant- Independent Pupil Referral Unit

We are currently working with an alternative provision based in the Leeds who are looking for Higher Level 4 Teaching Assistant with experience working with children that present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This is a varied role and will require individuals passionate about want to make a real difference in children’s lives.
Job Spec & Description:
- Delivering across curricular primary model content to Key stage 3- Key stage 4 learners
- Delivering group sessions with small groups of learners.
- Manage classroom resources.
- Take Children on educational trips and visits.
- Follow the school’s policy on positive regard and behaviour polices when needed.
- Keep children safe when they are in crisis or heightened behaviours with strong behaviour management skills and excellent communication skills.
- Qualified to level 4 Higher level Teaching Assistant
- Celebrate success.
- Participate in therapeutic training sessions or reflecting on difficult periods.
- Committed and passionate about teaching learners with differentiated needs.
- Valid and current DBS on the subscription service.
- Opportunity of becoming permanent
