About this opportunity

We're looking for an ambitious Associate Director to join our Global Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a front line, client focused individual to join a high-profile coverage team.

Global Services is a coverage business within the wider Services & Public Sector team. We're responsible for the management of relationships for Large Corporate clients whose turnover exceeds £100m. We handle a client portfolio which is made up of a mix of large corporates and professional services firms which includes many high-profile clients.

Your Accountabilities will include:

  • Support on client relationships to identify and satisfy client needs in the most appropriate way, meeting the Bank's credit and profitability requirements.

  • Review client proposals and support finding opportunities to develop further income, recommending and implementing the appropriate solutions in tandem with product partners

  • Ensure Credit reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner

  • Manage the client interface on behalf of the Group and other interested parties to ensure enquiries and issues are satisfactorily resolved.

  • Together with the Relationship Director, prepare and monitor account plans for the portfolio to meet customer profitability requirements and business objectives, in particular balancing income and risk.

  • Lead any client-related changes to Bank policies, systems, processes and working practices to achieve operational improvement.

  • Develop network of internal & external partners to build profile both in the Bank and in the wider market

  • Support our goal of being the 'Best Bank for Customers' and follow Conduct objectives by establishing, implementing, and maintaining a customer-centric culture throughout the relationship lifecycle.

What we need from you?

  • Previous banking experience is essential, with a proven background working with Corporate/Commercial clients or Professional Practices, and a strong understanding of their unique challenges and requirements.

  • Ability to visualise, articulate, conceptualise and solve both complex and uncomplicated problems by making decisions that are sensible given the available information. Such skills include demonstration of the ability to apply logical thinking to breaking sophisticated problems into their component parts

  • Proactive in developing relationships and building alliances with customers focused on future needs. Strive to exceed expectations and effectively engages in a dialogue with clients to deliver value to both them and LBG. Delivers on service commitments.

  • Skilled at interacting and negotiating with internal and external customers.

  • Strives to consistently achieve strong and timely results as agreed with clients or colleagues. Maintains focus and perseveres in the face of adversity. Uses time efficiently and responds quickly and constructively when confronted with challenges with an ability to prioritise tasks.
