Tooling & Dimensional Engineer - #1773774

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for a Tooling & Dimensional Engineer on behalf of a leading global manufacturer based in the north Leeds area.This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and talented technical engineering team, in a highly regulated fast paced manufacturing business that is continuing to grow.As the Tooling & Dimensional Engineer you will:

• Develop a manufacturing process for large IGT/aerospace components to maintain dimensional stability
• Negotiate with OEMs to support dimensional validations and tolerance agreements
• Ensure continuous improvement of processes and tooling
• Control tool modifications (cost / timing and technical control)
• Preparation of component CAD models and runner system design for bespoke pattern die tooling
• Gauge and fixture specification/design
• Create tooling specification and liaison with suppliers
• Define internal control limits to reduce scrap and increase productivity
• Control NPI feed-back to the customer through technical meetings
• Create FAI reports through optical measurement technology

To be considered for the Tooling & Dimensional Engineer you will need:

• Engineering Degree – Preferably in Mechanical Engineering
• Good knowledge of 3D CAD Package – Preferably in Siemens NX
• Analytical thinking
• Good verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the business
• Ability to work on and resolve complex problems
• Attention to detail
• Good understanding of GD&T
• Able to Read and Understand complex 2D drawings
• Proficient in use of MS Office i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word
