R&D Packaging Lab Technician - #1781076

An exciting opportunity has arisen to working with a world leading global organisation, we are looking for a Packaging Lab Technician to work with Manpower based at our client's Research & Development Facility in Seacroft, Leeds. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 37.5 hour week. This role is paying £24,570 per annum, pro rata.

We are seeking a Packaging Lab Technician based at a client research facility working with some of the world's leading deodorant brands. The post holder will be responsible for carrying out routine testing of new aerosol packaging components to validate both component design and functionality under supervision.

Responsibilities Will Include (but Is Not Limited To)

• Aerosol safety testing
• Conducting Measurement and testing of components and finished products under instruction.
• Document results in Excel spread sheets
• Prepare and send samples as specified by requesters
• Collect raw materials from warehouse/factory
• Filling of Aerosols (inc Gassing)
• Setting up the storage at all temperatures
• Laboratory Housekeeping
• Washing of lab materials and storing in cupboards
• Support lab & storage clear outs
• Ensure that waste disposal is completed according to agreed SOP
• Be an active member of lab team
• Lab waste management
• Ensure lab coats & high vis jackets are cleaned regularly
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Science based degree is desirable but not essential but must have GCSE level C or equivalent in Maths, Science, English
• Measuring and Testing experience required
• Lab technician experience
• Interested in working in this field
• Good IT skills
• Good communication skills and well organised
