Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - #1786217

This Leeds based Senior Mechanical Design Engineer post will see you joining a large design consultancy in their building services team. As well as UK based works, you'll be engaged on remarkable buildings throughout the world.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you'll be managing small to medium-sized projects, supporting colleagues, and ensuring project deliverables are met on time and within budget.

The Key Responsibilities Are

• Manage and deliver projects in healthcare, commercial and other non-domestic sectors, overseeing finances and resources.
• Provide technical input and mentoring junior staff.
• Engage in interdisciplinary reviews and quality control of design calculations and drawings.
  
  

What They're Looking For

• Proven track record in mechanical building services design.
• Highly motivated with a passion for success and development.
• Experience as at Engineer or Senior Engineer level with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., CIBSE).
• Proficiency in BIM software and low carbon systems design.
• Experience with IES or other calculation packages.
• Preferably experienced in designing and delivering healthcare facilities, familiar with HTM/HBN standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
• Chartered status or working towards accreditation.
• Postgraduate experience in the field; this is not an entry level position.
  
  

You'll need to have a solid background as a Mechanical building services design engineer and be fluent with UK standards and regs due to the level that you will be working at within the team.
