Where You Fit In
As our Chemical Delivery Technician, you will:
- Safely and competently complete assigned tasks related to chemical deliveries and receipt, ensuring policies & procedures are adhered to
- Youll respond to chemical spills or leaks with appropriate spill response equipment and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of chemicals, including delivery dates, quantities and batch numbers
- Ensure that Material Safety Data Sheets are available and updated for all chemicals received
- Monitor chemical inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock to avoid shortages or excesses
- You will be required to travel to various operational sites as part of your daily activities. Therefore, a full valid UK driving licence is a requirement of this role (with no more than 6 points on your licence).
- It is essential that you have a practical mindset, enjoy working outdoors in all weathers and be comfortable taking a hands-on approach to work tasks.
- Previous experience of using IT systems (Microsoft Office) such as word is essential as you will be capturing necessary site information on a Toughbook or PC.
- The role involves working alone and as part of a team and should have good time management and the ability to efficiently manage your own workload.
- You should be prepared to question unsafe working practices and be comfortable in reporting these to management.
- You should also be a good problem-solver, decision maker, communicator and one who displays a good attitude and behaviours.
- Experience of operating in a site based/technical role
- Relevant task competence related training, such as Phosphorous Technical training and asset specific training
- Safety related training & qualifications such as; confined spaces, working at heights, lone worker, COSHH, manual handling etc
