Operational Assurance Analyst
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 37.5
Salary: circa £43,000 depending on experience
Location: Leeds City Centre
WFH policy: Employees are required to attend the office 2 days/week
Travel: You are required to visit the London office once a month (this is fully expensed by the business)
Flexible working: Variety of flexible work patterns subject to line manager discretion e.g. Compressed 9-day fortnight.

Role Summary:
The Operational Assurance Analyst role will support the recently acquired KYC process, policy, contract and operations in the Operational Assurance team. The role will support the implementation of an enduring Digital Service solution to in-house the KYC operations and effectively manage the increasing volumes of KYCs and ongoing due diligence.
Liaising with the service provider and across different areas of the business you will deliver clear process for current and future configuration of the system. You will support the creation of documentation and guidance for internal and external stakeholders and support Operational Assurance commercial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of KYCs across all LCCC schemes using the new Digital Service.
- As one of the first users of the system, become an expert user helping to develop workflows and process improvements to drive efficiencies.
- Responsible for efficient and proactive running of the system to ensure data integrity is maintained.
- First level review of KYC reports, identify risks or flags according to KYC policy and process.
- Escalate where necessary and liaise with wider stakeholders to effectively manage LCCC risk.
- Monitor KYCs that have Enhanced Due Diligence requirements or that have been added to the watchlist and be responsible for keeping them up to date.
- Liaise with internal SMEs to understand scheme requirements and contractual obligations for KYCs within their area.
- Support teach-ins around the business to ensure knowledge transfer and improve ways of working.
- Create and maintain guidance documents for internal users, generators, producers, emitters and third-party users.
- Assist in upskilling colleagues who are providing support during peak periods, and ensure effective knowledge transfer within the team.
- Support in the administration of third-party supplier contracts and help structure the commercial activity within Operational Assurance.
- Support the development of a robust Freedom of Information request process and policy to manage larger volumes.
- Support the development a vendor performance matrix to standardise performance tracking across contracts and generate reports.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, able to understand and articulate complex issues to all levels of seniority and to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Adept and versatile with the ability to understand and process complex information.
- Be a team player, with strong interpersonal skills, working collaboratively towards a shared vision for the future.
Desirable:
- Demonstrable experience in an operational environment
- Experience working with data collection, analysis or management
- Experience within the Energy Sector
- Experience working with operational systems
