  • Approximately 10 years of industry experience implementing data integration tools such as Microsoft SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Glue, Step Functions, Airflow, Apache Flume/Sqoop/Pig, and similar technologies.
  • 3–5 years of team management experience.
  • 3–5 years of consulting experience (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data architecture, data modelling, or related disciplines.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing, OLTP systems, data integration, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop, or Hive, including derivatives like PySpark (preferred), Spark Scala, or Spark SQL, along with familiarity with development-accelerating libraries and frameworks.
  • Experience using data modelling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or similar.
  • Experience with major database platforms, including SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Data Lake, Hadoop, Azure Synapse (SQL Data Warehouse), Snowflake, Redshift, and others.
  • Strong experience with orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, HDInsight, Cloud Composer, Data Pipeline, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of key data architecture methodologies (Dimensional, ODS, Data Vault, etc.).
  • Familiarity with modern data warehouse technologies and capabilities, including real-time processing, cloud platforms, and big data solutions.
  • Understanding of both on-premises and cloud infrastructure architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Strong experience working in Agile environments (Scrum ceremonies, roles, and deliverables), with hands-on use of tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar. Experience with CI/CD practices and code management platforms is essential.
  • 3–5 years of development experience in decision support or business intelligence environments using tools such as SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar.

Preferred Experience

  • Strong background in data integration, data warehousing, enterprise data management, and modern cloud/big data architectures.
  • Ability to analyse business requirements, define transformation logic, and design scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Experience delivering end-to-end data integration projects, including estimation, testing, documentation, implementation, and proof of concept development.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, with experience mentoring teams and influencing both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to design robust data models, validate business rules using SQL and BI tools, and deliver scalable, maintainable analytics solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced Agile environments.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor, contributing to solution design, innovation, and pre-sales activities.
