Category Manager - IT/Tech - #2110154

Alexander Lloyd are partnering with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Category Manager - IT on a permanent basis. This is a fully remote role with occasional travel required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an IT procurement professional to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of technology and indirect spend categories, driving value, managing supplier relationships and supporting strategic procurement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement activity across IT and indirect spend categories.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, from tendering and supplier selection through to contract award and implementation.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and manage contractual risk.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Drive supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure procurement delivers maximum value and supports business objectives.

About You

• Proven experience in IT and/or indirect procurement.
• Strong knowledge of category management and strategic sourcing.
• Experience leading complex commercial negotiations and managing contracts.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical and project management capabilities.
• CIPS qualification (or working towards) desirable.
