The Company
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced procurement leader to establish and shape a newly created procurement function within a large, complex organisation. This is a rare chance to build a function from scratch, influence senior stakeholders across the business and deliver tangible commercial impact from day one.
Working closely with executive leadership and key functions across the organisation, you will take ownership of supplier strategy, procurement governance, sourcing activity, contract management and commercial performance. The role offers significant scope to create structure, improve visibility of expenditure, introduce best practice and drive greater value from a substantial third-party spend portfolio.

The Opportunity
Key Responsibilities for the Head of Procurement will include:
  • Build and implement a fit-for-purpose procurement function and operating model.
  • Lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, tender exercises and contract negotiations.
  • Improve supplier performance, governance and commercial outcomes.
  • Deliver measurable savings, cost optimisation and supplier rationalisation initiatives.
  • Increase spend visibility, reporting capability and procurement controls.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to embed a commercially focused procurement culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and supplier management practices.

About You
The successful Head of Procurement will be/have:
  • Experienced Senior Procurement Manager, Head of Procurement with a proven track record of building, developing or transforming procurement functions within a greenfield environment.
  • Experience from within a large, complex or regulated environment essential - professional services advantageous.
  • Strong background across strategic sourcing, supplier management, contracts and procurement governance.
  • Category management experience of technology, IT beneficial.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously and influencing senior stakeholders.
