As an Audit Assistant Manager, you'll take greater ownership of audit assignments, work directly with senior members of the team and play an important role in developing junior auditors.

It's an ideal opportunity for a recently qualified Audit Senior looking to make their first move into management, or an existing Assistant Manager looking for greater responsibility within an ambitious and growing firm.

  • Reviewing audit working papers and providing constructive feedback
  • Identifying key audit risks and ensuring these are appropriately addressed
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements
  • Building strong relationships with finance teams and senior client stakeholders
  • Acting as a key point of contact throughout the audit process
  • Supporting Managers with portfolio planning, budgeting and workflow
  • Ensuring work complies with relevant auditing and accounting standards
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing junior members of the Audit team
  • Identifying opportunities where the wider firm can provide additional support to clients
  • Working collaboratively with Tax, Corporate Finance and other specialist teams

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification
  • Strong audit experience gained within UK accountancy practice
  • Experience leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Good technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and auditing standards
  • Experience supervising and reviewing the work of junior auditors
  • Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach
  • The ambition to continue progressing into Audit Manager and beyond

What's On Offer
  • £48,000 - £55,000 basic salary
  • Hybrid and agile working
  • Ability to work remotely for up to 20% of contracted time
  • Opportunity to work remotely away from home for up to 4 weeks each year
  • 26 days' annual leave + bank holidays
  • Company pension scheme
  • Healthcare plan
  • Death in service benefit
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Bespoke training and development plan
