Property Litigation Associate / Senior Associate - #2149579

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded national law firm with a strong presence in the Yorkshire market. The firm has an established Property Litigation team that advises a diverse client base including developers, investors, landlords, tenants, property management companies and public sector organisations.

Due to continued growth, the firm is looking to appoint an Associate and/or Senior Associate to strengthen its Leeds-based team.

Your new role

You will join a busy and well-respected property disputes practice, handling a broad range of contentious real estate matters while working closely with colleagues across the wider real estate and litigation teams.

Your caseload will include:

• Commercial landlord and tenant disputes
• Lease renewals, terminations and break notices
• Dilapidation claims
• Forfeiture and possession proceedings
• Rent recovery and service charge disputes
• Development and construction-related property disputes
• Easements, rights of way and restrictive covenant matters
• Boundary and ownership disputes
• Property insolvency issues
• Real estate litigation arising from asset management portfolios

You will have responsibility for managing your own caseload, developing client relationships and supporting business development initiatives across the Yorkshire market.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
• 3+ years' PQE, although applications from all suitably experienced candidates will be considered
• Experience handling a broad range of property litigation matters
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial property disputes
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
• Interest in business development and networking activities
