We’re recruiting a UK based Principal Designer (CDM) for a permanent role with a health and safety consultancy. Salary is up to £75,000, with flexibility for the right person. The role is mostly remote, with national travel and site visits typically around once a month.

The Role

You’ll coordinate health and safety during the design and pre-construction stages, helping project teams identify risks early and address them through the design. You’ll work closely with clients, designers and contractors, providing practical advice and keeping projects moving.

Projects are located across the UK. You’ll manage your own diary, with travel planned around project needs.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience acting as a Principal Designer on construction projects
• A strong health and safety consultancy background
• Confidence working with clients, design teams and senior stakeholders
• The ability to manage several projects and priorities independently
• Willingness to travel nationally when projects require it.

This could suit a senior H&S consultant who already has substantial Principal Designer experience and wants a largely remote role with varied projects.
