Corporate Tax Manager

Location: Manchester or Leeds

Salary: £55,000–£75,000 (flexibility DOE)

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join a growing professional services team, working closely with Tax Directors and Partners to deliver high-quality corporate tax services to a varied client portfolio.

The Role

You will take responsibility for managing the corporate tax compliance function across Manchester and Leeds, working with a range of complex clients including larger groups, higher-risk businesses and key strategic relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.

• Overseeing tax accounting and ensuring compliance deadlines are met.

• Acting as a key point of contact for clients on corporate tax matters, queries and enquiries.

• Identifying and delivering corporate tax advisory opportunities.

• Supporting clients with technical tax advice and keeping them informed of relevant developments.

• Managing, mentoring and developing junior members of the corporate tax team.

• Working collaboratively with wider tax and advisory teams to provide a joined-up service to clients.

• Identifying opportunities to introduce additional services where appropriate.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced corporate tax professional who can combine strong technical knowledge with a commercial and client-focused approach.

You will ideally have:

• CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification.

• At least 1 year’s post-qualification experience within a UK practice environment in Corporate Tax.

• Strong corporate tax compliance and advisory experience.

• Experience working with complex clients, groups or higher-risk businesses.

• Excellent technical knowledge and the ability to apply this creatively to client situations.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• The confidence to deal directly with clients at all levels.

• Excellent organisation and time management skills.

• A commercial mindset and enthusiasm for developing both client relationships and new opportunities.

• Experience mentoring or developing junior team members would be advantageous.
