We are looking for a proactive and driven Engineer to join a busy Technical team, supporting the delivery of high-quality residential developments across the region.

This is a great opportunity for an Engineer looking to take ownership of technical and infrastructure matters, work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, and play a key role in getting developments successfully delivered.

The Role

As an Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting infrastructure and technical matters from early feasibility through to onsite delivery and completion.

You will work closely with Construction, Commercial and other internal departments, as well as utility providers, consultants, local authorities and other external stakeholders, ensuring developments remain on programme and are delivered in line with technical requirements and approvals.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing infrastructure requirements for residential developments from feasibility through to site delivery
  • Coordinating technical information, approvals, quotations, agreements and service connections
  • Liaising with utility providers, consultants, local authorities, highways, environmental agencies and warranty providers
  • Supporting the appointment and management of external consultants and service providers
  • Reviewing legal agreements, easements and utility documentation alongside external legal teams
  • Attending weekly pre-start, site and project review meetings
  • Ensuring technical drawings and information are distributed accurately and on time
  • Providing technical support and practical problem-solving across Construction, Commercial and Sales teams
  • Assisting with feasibility studies and providing advice on utility and infrastructure costs
  • Supporting the delivery of projects in line with programme, budget, planning approvals and technical standards
  • Supporting compliance with CDM Regulations and wider health and safety requirements

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience within residential housebuilding, property development or a related construction environment
  • Experience managing infrastructure, utilities or technical requirements across developments
  • Knowledge of utility providers, industry procedures and relevant legislation
  • An understanding of CDM Regulations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent organisation and coordination abilities
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • The ability to negotiate, influence and build strong working relationships
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Package

  • Competitive Salary based on experience
  • Car allowance or company car
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Pension
  • Health insurance
  • Company events
  • Employee discounts
