Operational & Performance Manager - Recoveries

An established and highly respected professional services organisation is seeking an Operational & Performance Manager to join its Recoveries team. This is a key leadership role focused on operational excellence, performance management, service delivery, and team development within a fast-paced and growing environment.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring performance targets, service level agreements, and quality standards are consistently achieved while supporting and developing a team of supervisors and fee earners.
As Operational & Performance Manager, you will:
- Drive operational performance across the Recoveries function.
- Monitor service level agreements, productivity, quality standards, and key performance indicators.
- Support the delivery of divisional and group objectives.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to supervisors and team members.
- Conduct performance reviews, appraisals, and regular one-to-one meetings.
- Analyse management information and performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with management and training teams to develop staff capability.
- Ensure compliance, quality, and risk control processes are maintained.
- Manage workloads effectively to ensure excellent client service and operational efficiency.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training activities.
- Handle complaints professionally and in line with company procedures.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong technical knowledge and experience of uninsured loss recovery claims and procedures.
- Experience within recoveries, litigation, claims management, or a legal services environment.
- Excellent leadership and performance management skills.
- Strong analytical ability with experience interpreting and presenting management information.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel and performance reporting tools.
- The ability to influence, motivate, and develop teams.
- Authorisation to conduct litigation, or the willingness to achieve this within six months of appointment.
