Full Stack Engineer (React, Python) - #2166296

Join a leading business solutions and tech-enabled services company as a Senior Full Stack Developer, helping to build and enhance business-critical products within a modern, cloud-native environment.

Job Overview: As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will design and deliver secure, scalable applications across the full technology stack, with a particular focus on Python and backend engineering. Working closely with Engineering, Platform and DevOps teams, you will take ownership of solutions from technical design through to deployment.

• Contract length: 6 months initially, with potential for extension or temp-to-perm
• Location: Leeds (hybrid - Tuesdays and Thursdays on-site)
• Daily rate: Up to £575 per day via umbrella

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain full-stack applications across front-end, backend, APIs and data integrations.
• Lead development from technical design through to implementation, testing and deployment.
• Build secure, scalable and production-grade cloud-native solutions.
• Design and integrate REST APIs, microservices and cloud services.
• Collaborate with Platform and DevOps teams on CI/CD, automation and deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues using logs, metrics and diagnostic tools.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and mentor less experienced developers.

Key requirements

• Strong commercial Python and backend development experience.
• Proven experience building full-stack applications from end to end.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices and production-grade software.
• Cloud experience, ideally GCP, alongside Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing and SQL or NoSQL databases.
• React, C#/.NET, Docker, Kubernetes or Cloud Run experience would be advantageous.
