About the project

We’re hiring experienced, self-sufficient Backend Developers for a small Pathfinder team. The team will help shape a large digital transformation for a major UK public sector organisation. The aim is to bring several ways of administering financial support together into a single modern service.

You’ll join at the early discovery stage. You’ll work closely with architects on structured technical spikes and options analysis, and help decide the technology choices behind a new national-scale service.

What you’ll be doing

Running structured technical spikes and proofs of concept

Assessing and recommending technology options for the new service

Working with architects to research and develop the solution

Building backend services and APIs with modern Python frameworks

Working on your own in a small, fast-moving team
