Role Description This is a full-time, on-site HGV Driver role based at the Leeds branch. The HGV Driver will be responsible for safely operating company trucks to deliver building and plumbing materials to trade and retail customers, following planned routes and delivery schedules. Daily tasks include loading and securing goods, transporting them to customer sites, and unloading materials in line with safety guidelines. The role involves completing delivery documentation, performing basic vehicle checks, and reporting any maintenance or safety issues. The HGV Driver will also interact with customers professionally, support the yard team when required, and adhere to all company policies and relevant transport regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (or equivalent HGV licence) and proven Truck Driving experience.
• Experience with safe loading, securing, and Unloading of goods from a Truck.
• Good understanding of local routes in and around Leeds and the wider region.
• Strong commitment to health and safety, with the ability to perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time on-site with occasional early starts.
• Good communication skills and professional customer service attitude.
• Ability to handle manual handling tasks; forklift or HIAB certification is an advantage.
• Previous experience in building materials or plumbing/heating supplies is beneficial.
