Interim Deputy Headteacher, West Yorkshire - #2177024

Brava Education is working with a primary school in West Yorkshire, who are looking for an experienced Interim Deputy Headteacher to join them from January 2027.

The role

This is a hands-on senior leadership role within a large primary school with a nursery, serving a diverse community.  You will work closely with the Acting Headteacher and the wider senior team to provide stability and strong leadership.

Your priority will be the day-to-day operational running of the school, including the business side of school leadership. You will also support the school's SEND provision, working alongside the Acting Headteacher, who will remain the strategic lead for SEND.

The role includes a small amount of teaching, around half a day a week.

About you

- Proven experience as a Deputy Headteacher.

- Strong operational leadership, including the business and organisational side of running a school.

- Confidence supporting SEND. A SENCo qualification would be a bonus but is not required.

- Early Years experience would be desirable.

- Willingness to teach a small amount each week.

Terms

The role is interim and full time, starting in January 2027 and running until the end of the summer term. It offers a competitive day rate.
