DB - Platform Technology Lead - #2178551

Location: Leeds 2x per week

An opportunity for an experienced Platform Technology Lead to take ownership of technical change across a complex platform estate, with a particular focus on database technologies.

You'll lead the technical design and delivery of platform enhancements, upgrades, integrations and wider technology initiatives, working closely with product, architecture, engineering and third-party suppliers. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll help shape solutions, manage delivery risks and ensure changes are secure, resilient and ready for production.

• Lead the technical delivery of database platform changes, upgrades, enhancements and integrations.

• Translate business requirements into scalable, practical technical designs and implementation plans.

• Work with architects, developers, product teams and suppliers to deliver secure, resilient and maintainable solutions.

• Review technical designs, configurations and interfaces, providing assurance across build, testing, deployment and early life support.

• Manage technical risks, dependencies and implementation plans, ensuring changes are operationally ready.

• Drive engineering best practice, technical governance, automation and continuous improvement, reducing technical debt and improving operational efficiency.
  
  

• Proven experience providing technical leadership across platform technology change and delivery.

• Strong experience working with database platforms and associated technology changes.

• Experience leading platform enhancements, upgrades, integrations and implementation activities.

• Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and delivery plans.

• Experience working with architects, engineers, product teams and third-party suppliers.

• Understanding of security, resilience, performance, compliance and operational support requirements.

• Strong communication, stakeholder management and technical problem-solving skills.
