Quality Automation Engineer

Salary: Up to £55,000

Location: Leeds – Hybrid working

Who you'll be working with

An opportunity has arisen to join a leading global technology and consulting business within its Software & Platform Engineering team.

You'll be working alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists, helping major clients build better software products through modern Quality Engineering and automation practices.

The team works across a variety of industries and technology environments, giving you the opportunity to work on different projects, explore new technologies and develop your engineering skills.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and implementing automated testing solutions to improve software quality and delivery.
• Developing and implementing modern Quality Engineering strategies and automation frameworks.
• Writing code and building automated tests using languages such as Java, C#, TypeScript or Python.
• Working closely with developers, engineers and clients to improve testing processes and software delivery.
• Applying modern testing approaches across cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
• Exploring and applying Generative AI tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency and engineering practices.
• Identifying opportunities to improve quality, productivity and overall delivery processes.
• Sharing knowledge and contributing to wider engineering communities.

What we're looking for

• Several years' experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing or Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing automated testing solutions.
• Good programming experience in at least one object-oriented language, such as Java, C#, TypeScript or Python.
• Experience with modern automation frameworks and testing practices.
• Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, or evidence of personal projects and an active interest in the technology.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within engineering teams.
• A flexible mindset and an interest in learning new technologies and working across different client environments.
