We’re looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern who can contribute to our growing digital presence, bring fresh ideas and help us strengthen our marketing activities.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a developing retail business, gain practical industry experience and become part of a friendly, collaborative team.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone with practical knowledge and experience in SEO, social media analytics and email marketing.

We want someone who understands the technical side of digital marketing and can contribute to actual marketing activities, rather than someone focused solely on creating and posting social media content.

Key Responsibilities

1. SEO & Website Optimisation

* Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis.

* Assist with on-page SEO and website content optimisation.

* Identify opportunities to improve organic search visibility.

* Support SEO strategies across our website and product catalogue.

2. Social Media Analytics

* Monitor and analyse social media performance.

* Track engagement, reach, impressions and audience behaviour.

* Prepare regular performance reports.

* Identify trends and opportunities to improve social media performance.

3. Email Marketing & Mailchimp

* Plan and execute email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp.

* Create, manage and schedule email newsletters.

* Assist with audience segmentation and mailing list management.

* Monitor campaign performance, including open rates, click-through rates and conversions.

4. Digital Marketing & Strategy

* Contribute ideas to improve our overall digital marketing strategy.

* Research competitors, industry trends and audience behaviour.

* Support the development of marketing campaigns.

* Work collaboratively with the wider team to strengthen our online presence.

What We’re Looking For

* Background in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or a related field.

* Practical knowledge of SEO and website optimisation.

* Experience with social media analytics and performance tracking.

* Familiarity with Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms.

* Experience creating and managing email newsletters.

* Strong analytical and research skills.

* Good written communication and organisational skills.

* Someone proactive, creative and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities.

Important: We are looking for someone who already has a good understanding of these areas. Previous practical experience, personal projects or a portfolio demonstrating relevant skills will be highly valued.

Working Arrangements

* Travel expenses will be covered.

Compensation

This is initially an unpaid internship, with travel expenses covered. Any future paid opportunities or changes to the arrangement will be discussed separately and subject to business requirements and applicable employment law.
