Housing Support Worker – Leeds

We are recruiting a Housing Support Worker to join a social housing organisation in Leeds, supporting vulnerable people with drug and alcohol support needs.

This is an opportunity for someone with relevant support experience who can build trust, understand individual needs and help people achieve greater stability and independence.

The role

You will support individuals facing challenges associated with substance misuse, helping them access appropriate services and manage issues affecting their housing and day-to-day lives. Experience helping people access social housing and sustain their tenancies would be particularly useful.

What we’re looking for

• Experience supporting vulnerable people affected by drug and alcohol addiction.
• A practical, compassionate approach and the ability to build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in housing support, homelessness services or tenancy sustainment would be beneficial.

A driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be advantageous, although applications from experienced candidates who do not drive will also be considered.

The position is available immediately on an ongoing temporary basis.
