As the Head of Project Management & Delivery Services, you will lead our delivery function, ensuring the successful execution of complex projects and programmes. You will manage a team of Project Managers and Scrum Masters, champion Agile methodologies, and oversee release and change management processes. This strategic role requires a balance of leadership, technical insight, and stakeholder engagement to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Agile Delivery Managers, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and Delivery Professionals.
  • Ensure a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and support career development plans.
  • Drive Agile adoption across teams, ensuring alignment with Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid frameworks.
  • Act as a champion for Agile principles, facilitating training and workshops to enhance team maturity.
  • Monitor delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time) to identify risks and optimise workflows.
  • Oversee end-to-end release planning, ensuring seamless coordination between development, QA, and operations.
  • Govern change management processes, assessing impacts and mitigating risks to business continuity.
  • Maintain robust documentation and compliance with ITIL or industry-standard frameworks.
  • Partner with senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to align delivery priorities with business goals.
  • Provide transparent communication on project statuses, risks, and performance.
  • Manage expectations and negotiate timelines with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the organisation’s delivery strategy, identifying opportunities for scaling efficiency.
  • Anticipate risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends to recommend innovative tools and practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related technical field.
  • Excellent command of the English language - written & spoken.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Highly organised with a strong ability to prioritise across multiple projects.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and tools like Jira.
  • Proven experience in a senior delivery role (e.g., Head of Delivery, Programme Director) within IT.
  • Track record of managing multidisciplinary teams (Project Managers, Scrum Masters, etc.).
  • Strong expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, LeSS) and tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Demonstrable experience in release management and ITIL-aligned change processes.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2,).
  • Background in software development lifecycle (SDLC) environments.
