Job Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to join our National Wealth Fund Finance team for a 12-Month Internship Programme. As the Finance Intern, you will gain a breadth of experience across all areas of the NWF Finance team including Financial Operations, Treasury, Financial Control and Financial Planning and Analysis. This is a unique opportunity to work within a small team with an important mandate, where you will gain exposure to complex financial transactions in a dynamic environment.

You Will Gain First Hand Experience On

• Assisting in financial data entry by recording transactions and maintaining financial accurate records.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations.
• Financial Analysis: Perform variance analysis, trend analysis, and ratio analysis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting by gathering data, updating models, and preparing reports.
• Participate in audits and compliance reviews.
• Conduct research e.g. industry trends, financial standards and financial regulations.
  
  

Required Experience And Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write concisely and compellingly
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to develop productive working relationships
• Excellent research skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality output at pace
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite especially Microsoft Excel
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Must be studying toward a degree in a discipline relevant to Finance, Accounting or a related field.
