Job Purpose
Location: Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Leeds office
Salary: £28,000 – £32,500
As an Analyst you will provide high-quality financial operations support through successful delivery and development of processes to create a robust control environment to safeguard the NWF’s assets and the integrity of financial systems, data and reports.

As an Analyst you will provide high-quality financial operations support through successful delivery and development of processes to create a robust control environment to safeguard the NWF’s assets and the integrity of financial systems, data and reports.
Key Accountabilities
- Accountable for delivering high quality and accurate financial operations activities by exploring efficient and innovative processes as the Fund faces new challenges and stakeholder requirements.
- Leverage technical skills to streamline financial operations by working across multiple data sources and systems, identifying opportunities for automation and optimisation, and implementing process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Assist with delivering financial outputs for stakeholders within deadlines, using basic knowledge to proactively identify varied improvements for portfolio and funding-related reporting, to ensure relevance to business needs.
- Ensure payment requests and transaction calculations are reviewed in a timely and accurate manner to ensure service levels and contractual obligations are met.
- Identify and escalate anomalies in financial data and requests, and ensure all internal controls and delegation of authorities are satisfied
- Assist with timely and accurate set up, testing and maintenance of data on associated systems, aligned to supporting documentation where required, to ensure integrity of financial data, systems and reports.
- Work with internal stakeholders to assist with identify and flag any errors or issues promptly and escalate systems issues to ensure availability and correctness of data and reports.
- Experience of managing multiple deadlines whilst collaborating with multiple stakeholders – ideally within a corporate environment
- Experience in automating/optimising routine tasks in Excel and other financial systems
- Understanding of financial products—including debt, guarantees, and equity—and how they function across their lifecycle, including structuring, servicing, and reporting.
- Knowledge of MS Office including Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A flexible attitude to adapt and change direction as needed
- Comfortable with performing routine tasks on a daily basis
- A structured and methodical approach
- Familiarity with financial/loan operations in a financial services environment
- Basic understanding of financial modelling
- Understanding or prior experience of implementing payment, settlement and clearance
- Exposure to implementing or operating financial software tools
- Knowledge of Workday
