Associate Investment Manager

Leeds | £40,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Outstanding Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Investment Manager to join a leading UK wealth management business in Leeds.

Working alongside an experienced and highly successful team, you will support the management of client portfolios, deliver exceptional client service and continue your development towards becoming a fully-fledged Investment Manager.

This is a busy, high-performing team and, as such, they are looking for someone who can add value from day one rather than requiring extensive training. In return, there is a clear and realistic pathway to progress to Investment Manager level within 1-2 years, with significant opportunities for further progression beyond that.

The Role

• Supporting the ongoing management of client portfolios and ensuring they remain aligned with client objectives and mandates

• Building strong relationships with clients, intermediaries and professional connections

• Conducting investment research and contributing to discussions around portfolio positioning and asset allocation

• Assisting with suitability reviews and client reporting

• Working closely with Financial Planners and other specialists to deliver holistic outcomes for clients

• Supporting business development activities and helping to strengthen professional relationships

About You

Candidates should possess:

• CISI Level 4 IAD, including Securities and Financial Planning & Advice papers

• Experience within investment management, wealth management or a similar client-facing environment

• Exposure to portfolio reviews, suitability and client reporting

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly

• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing professional relationships

• A proactive approach and the ability to work with increasing autonomy

The salary is expected to be around £40,000, although there is flexibility for candidates who hold Level 7 qualifications or are close to achieving Chartered status.

Benefits

• Discretionary bonus

• up to 10% pension contribution

• Private medical insurance

• Life assurance of 8x salary

• Income protection

• Company share scheme

• Flexible holiday options

• Study support and funded qualifications

• Gym discounts and a range of additional benefits

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious investment professional looking to accelerate their career within a highly respected organisation with genuine long-term progression opportunities.
