Are you an experienced engineering leader looking for your next challenge?
We're recruiting a Shift Production Manager to join our busy rail maintenance depot in Leeds, leading a team responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of freight locomotives. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business where safety, teamwork and engineering excellence are at the heart of everything we do.
Working closely with the Depot Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering operational performance, developing your team and ensuring our locomotives are maintained safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading, motivating and developing a team of approximately 7 skilled engineers and technicians.
* Project managing the day-to-day ETCS mod activityon our Locomotive Fleet.
* Supporting the Depot Manager in successfully delivering KPI's to target and maximising fleet availability.
* Monitoring engineering performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with company and industry standards.
* Promoting a strong safety culture across the depot.
* Deputising for the Depot Manager and other supervisory colleagues when required.
* Building positive relationships with colleagues, customers and key stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally bring:
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
* At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience within a heavy vehicle or engineering maintenance environment.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving.
* A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Shift Pattern
DAYS, Monday to Friday
* 07:00 - 16:00 (days)
