Working as part of the wider finance function, you will support the effective day-to-day management of the organisation's banking and cash activities. This will include processing payments, reconciling bank accounts, managing intercompany transactions and assisting with cash forecasting.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid finance background who is looking to build on their existing experience and develop their career within a dedicated Treasury environment.
Key Responsibilities- Complete regular reconciliations of UK bank accounts and investigate any differences or outstanding items.
- Process a range of banking and payment transactions accurately and within required timescales.
- Manage intercompany cash transfers and ensure transactions are correctly documented and recorded.
- Assist with monitoring cash positions and maintaining appropriate bank balances.
- Support foreign currency transactions and other day-to-day Treasury requirements.
- Maintain accurate records relating to banking and Treasury activities.
- Prepare information and supporting data for financial reporting and analysis.
- Work with internal departments and external banking contacts to resolve payment and account queries.
- Follow established financial controls, procedures and approval processes.
- Contribute ideas and support initiatives aimed at improving Treasury processes and efficiency.
- Provide general assistance to the wider Finance team when required.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- AAT Level 4 qualification, or an equivalent finance qualification/level of experience.
- Previous experience working within a finance or accounting environment.
- Experience of Treasury, cash management or banking processes would be beneficial.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using SAP or another large-scale finance system would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- The ability to work effectively in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach and an interest in improving processes.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a wider team.
