Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE

Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be working with a well established accountancy practice based in West Yorkshire. They currently have an opportunity for an Audit Semi Senior to join its audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice professional looking to develop their audit experience while progressing towards ACA or ACCA qualification.

Working with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger corporate clients, you will gain exposure to the full audit process while working closely with experienced Seniors and Managers.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the planning, fieldwork and completion of statutory audits.
Complete audit testing across key financial statement areas.
Prepare audit working papers to a high standard.
Identify audit issues and communicate findings to senior team members.
Prepare year-end statutory accounts for limited companies.
Liaise directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
Assist with corporation tax computations where required.
Ensure assignments are completed within agreed deadlines and budgets.
Support and mentor more junior members of the team.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting and auditing standards.

Personal Requirements:
Have at least 2 years experience within a UK accountancy practice.
Have practical experience working on external audits.
Be ACA or ACCA part-qualified, or actively studying towards qualification.
Have experience preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP/FRS 102.
Be confident dealing directly with clients.
Have strong organisational and communication skills.
Be able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
Have experience with accounting and audit software packages.
