A leading independent environmental consultancy are seeking an experienced and passionate Principal Flood Risk Consultant to join their team. You will be contributing to high-profile Flood Risk and Drainage projects, bringing your own expertise to this exciting role. The Principal Flood Risk Consultant Role involves:

• Providing high quality and knowledgeable advice on Flood Risk and Drainage projects
• Assisting and supervising the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) and Drainage strategies for major developments within the property, renewable energy, and aviation sectors.
• Leading on complex strategic sites
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members
• Ensuring that environmental issues are at the heart of development design
• Engaging with a variety of stakeholder groups, clients, and design team

The role requirements

• Extensive knowledge of the planning system, particularly flood related policy and guidance
• Ability to register and relay flood risk and drainage restraints and opportunities at development sites
• Experience in producing FRAs and drainage strategies
• Knowledge on writing and reviewing reports
• Experience in relevant software (AutoCAD, InfoDrainage, GIS)
• To live in or near to Leeds
• A full UK driving license
• The full right to work in the UK
