To strengthen AND's position as a leader in the data industry, we are seeking a Data Principal to provide expert technical consulting and architectural leadership for our clients. This pivotal role requires a deep balance of technical authority and strategic consulting. You will work closely with our delivery teams and client stakeholders to solve complex enterprise data challenges, design scalable modern data platforms, and ensure high-quality technical execution across our client portfolios.

Your Consulting & Technical Leadership

• Advisory & Problem Solving: You have a proven track record of guiding clients through complex data transformations. You excel at navigating the complexities of enterprise-scale problem solving, turning business challenges into robust technical solutions.
• Stakeholder Communication: You are a master of client-facing technical delivery. You can seamlessly translate complex data concepts into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders while maintaining deep credibility with engineering teams.
• Designing for People and Purpose: Your expertise goes beyond just building scalable architectures; you design systems with a focus on delivering value. You ensure that your extensible solutions are implemented because they consistently meet the evolving needs of both the business and its users.
• Quality & Industry Stewardship: You champion quality assurance, robust testing, and performance tuning, ensuring the data platforms we build are reliable and respected. You keep a continuous pulse on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  
  

Your Technical Skills

You lead by example. While your primary focus is strategic and architectural, you maintain the technical depth required to guide teams through the full Data Product Lifecycle:

• Technology Breadth: You bring a seasoned perspective to both modern and traditional ecosystems - with extensive experience architecting data solutions using cloud services. You have deep knowledge of the modern data stack (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric), and manage delivery with an Agile mindset.
• Data Architecture Design: You know exactly how (but especially when) to implement varied architectural patterns, data modelling approaches, and AI/Data Science.
• End-to-End Capabilities: You understand the full lifecycle of data: discovery, storage, pipelines, ETL, and streaming, right through to data quality, metadata management, and advanced analytics for core decision-making.
• Data Product Mentality: You design Data Products ensuring that every pipeline and dataset is discoverable, addressable, and secure by design.
• Technical Credibility: You speak the language of data fluently (e.g. Python, SQL) and can step in to review code, provide prototypes, or troubleshoot highly complex technical escalations when required.
