Physical Security Advisor - #2166455

We're looking for a Physical Security Advisor for a central government department based in Darlington, Leeds, Sheffield or Nottingham (hybrid) on an initial 6 months contract, paying up to £550 per day (Inside IR35).

This is a hybrid role with regular travel across the UK to assess sites.

The successful Physical Security Advisor will identify and mitigate physical security risks across a large government property estate and advise on the right mix of physical and tactical resources to keep sites secure. You'll lead formal Threat and Vulnerability Assessments, build and maintain risk and asset registers, and produce site security procedures and management plans. You'll also run post-incident reviews, analyse breach and incident trends, and recommend practical improvements.

You will need proven experience in the following:

Conducting physical security and site risk assessments

Delivering Threat and Vulnerability Assessments and documenting controls

Advising multiple clients and stakeholders in a multi-client service environment

Maintaining risk registers and site security asset records

Communicating clearly in writing and verbally to gain support for security initiatives

Working autonomously, prioritising workload and analysing management information to inform decisions

Negotiation skills and experience managing stakeholders and contractors would be beneficial.

Membership of a relevant professional body such as the Security Institute, and any security-related qualifications, would be highly desirable.

You'll need to hold or be eligible to obtain SC clearance.
