We’re looking for a commercially minded and strategic Head of Finance to lead financial performance and drive business impact across Betfair. This is a key leadership role steering profitable growth whilst transforming processes and ways of working.

As the finance lead for the Betfair business, you’ll collaborate with Betfair MD and Leadership Team, offering financial insight, strategic guidance, and operational challenge to maximise value across the portfolio. Reporting to the UKI Commercial Finance Director, you’ll also play a senior role in the Commercial Finance Leadership Team as a leader of a team of seven business partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Be responsible for the UK & International Brand P&L: Own the forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reporting for Betfair’s revenue, marketing, and cost of sales. Ensure accuracy and insight in financial outputs.
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to the Betfair MD and leadership team. Shape and challenge objectives and key results, support strategy development, and drive performance.
  • Insight & Analysis: Deliver outstanding, future-focused financial analysis with a passion for key commercial drivers like NGR, Marketing return on investment, and Generosity.
  • Performance Reporting: Champion the evolution of reporting tools and important metrics to improve clarity and decision-making across the business.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Group Finance, FP&A, BI, and other Flutter brands to ensure alignment and best-practice sharing.
  • Finance Transformation: Lead finance transformation initiatives within Betfair and contribute to wider UKI commercial finance improvements—ensuring processes are future-ready and value-focused.
  • Market Leadership: Act as the finance SME for Commercial Finance in Football/Racing/ SaS (TBC).
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of 7, in multiple locations, fostering a culture of growth, agility, and accountability.
  • Finance Community Leadership: Collaborate with UKI Finance Directors and Heads of Finance to drive consistency, alignment, and excellence across the finance function.

  • Act as a reliable strategic ally to senior leadership—curious, commercially savvy, and driven by outcomes.
  • Bring strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insight.
  • Apply excellent commercial judgment and storytelling ability to articulate financial performance and influence decision-making.
  • Navigate and influence within a matrixed, cross-functional environment, managing a broad range of senior stakeholders with credibility and clarity.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, agility, and development, cultivating talent and building team capabilities for the future.
